EHL appoints new MD for Singapore campus

Hospitality education group Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne confirmed earlier this month that it has appointed Jenny Ang as the Managing Director of its Singapore campus. The appointment has been effective since September 1.

Ang has over 15 years of management experience in higher education, classical music, and the arts industry. She spent much of her prior career with the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore, where she held several senior positions including Deputy Director (Artistic Administration & Strategic Development). Her portfolio covered strategic initiatives in relation to institutional brand management, curriculum design, building international networks, public engagement and partnerships.

Michel Rochat, CEO of EHL Group, said of her appointment: “We are delighted and proud to welcome Ms. Ang as part of our international team, spearheading our very first foray outside of Switzerland. Her expertise and drive will be valuable, and she will play a pivotal role in sealing EHL's status as an absolute reference in hospitality management education."

In her new role, Ang will most likely be expected to bring a fresh perspective to the skills and knowledge required by hospitality professionals, particularly given the pandemic's impact on the industry and the changes it is undergoing in response.
