EHL names new Dean to head Singapore campus
Swiss hospitality management school Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) announced earlier this week that Dr Luciano Lopez has been appointed the new Dean of its recently established Singapore campus, effective July 1, 2021.
Dr Lopez is an economist with six years' teaching experience, including the last three years with Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. He completed his Ph.D in 2018, and his research focuses on applied economics and circular economy practices in the hospitality industry. As Dean of the Singapore campus, he will provide intellectual and academic leadership. The Singapore campus will open to its first cohort of students this September.
Dr Juan F. Perellon, Chief Academic Officer of EHL Group, said: "We are delighted that Dr Lopez has agreed to take part in this exciting new chapter of EHL in Singapore as Dean of our third campus. His deep knowledge of our institution and his academic skills will be put to good use to the advantage of the students, who will benefit from a caring learning ecosystem, centered around their needs and aspirations.”
Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne is the oldest hospitality management school in the world, dating back to 1893, and has been ranked best in the world by several industry awards and publications. The school is reputedly also top in the world for graduate job placements in international hospitality careers.
