Former CTO & CHRO at PepsiCo, Sergio Ezama appointed Chief Talent Officer | Netflix

Sergio Ezama is moving from PepsiCo to join Netflix as Chief Talent Officer. Succeeding Jessica Neal, Ezama will begin working remotely from mid-September.

Netflix recently announced the appointment of Sergio Ezama as Chief Talent Officer. Ezama will join Netflix by mid- September, after serving at PepsiCo as Chief Talent Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, Global Groups and Functions. The recent appointment is following Jessica Neal's resignation, after serving the OTT platform for almost 12 years.

In his new role as Chief Talent Officer, Ezama will be responsible for executing Netflix's corporate philosophy, focusing on its doctrines, freedom and responsibility, radical transparency, and an unlimited-vacation as well as expense policy. With his deep expertise in the industry, Ezama will aid the streaming company achieve its long term objectives to scale up global operations, to create an efficient team of employees, render better user experience and a stronghold across the globe.

Ezama, will be working remotely from the New York Office. He will be operating and overseeing business operations across Netflix's different locations around the globe including, California, Amsterdam, Spain, South Korea, Tokyo, Brazil etc.

On the recent appointment, Greg Peters, Netflix’s COO and Chief Product Officer revealed Ezama's global experience which will aid the OTT platform in enhancing its customer base internationally. Ezama to use his experience and insights, as the platform continues to spread its reach overseas.

Delighted on joining the company, Ezama stated that he is looking forward to building an efficient, holistic team, where everyone gives their best output.

Ezama has been serving PepsiCo for over two decades under diverse leadership and managerial roles. He has handled people management, talent acquisitions, human resources and other global operations at the company. He further managed to create and foster a permanent flexible-work model, in which employees decide with their managers how to split their time between the office and remote work.
