Global Reporting Initiative appoints Dani Marunovic as Chief Financial Officer
International Independent Standards organization, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) earlier this week announced the appointment of Dani Marunovic as the Chief Financial Officer(CFO), effective from 1st August 2021. She will be leading the operational administration of the GRI secretariat, including budgeting, financial controls, human resources, infrastructure, legal affairs, and IT in her new role.
Prior to this, Marunovic was the Director of Finance and Operations at Youth Business International. Known to be a seasoned financial professional, Marunovic has 20+ years of experience in financial leadership and strategic roles. She has worked with multinational organizations and created pragmatic, flexible, and innovative approaches to solve business challenges.
Marunovic has worked in complex, dynamic, and multinational environments such as the Wildlife Conservation Society, Ecorys UK and GAIN. Her list of accolades also includes being Group Financial Controller of Probability PLC, Rejuve Ltd, GfK, and T&F Group. Marunovic holds a B.Sc degree in Accountancy from Oxford Brookes University. Peter Westra, who was the Chief Operations Officer, announced his retirement after 13 years’ service in GRI following Marunovic’s appointment.
Eric Hespenheide, Chair of the GRI Board, said that Marunovic's skills and experience will help to bolster GRI’s position globally.
