Cross-border employment platform Globalization Partners has announced the appointment of Jurry De Vries as General Manager for its Middle East business, focusing on government relations and global partnerships.

De Vries, who is based in Dubai, has extensive experience in the region and in government compliance and human resources systems. He spent over a decade running his own firm, Total Solutions Middle East, a provider of governance, risk, compliance, and HR services covering Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Subsequently, he sold the firm to multinational corporate services provider Vistra and joined Vistra himself as Managing Director for the Middle East. He was also a member of Vistra's Middle East-Asia leadership board.

He said of the new career move: “Joining Globalization Partners feels like a natural career progression. I look forward to strengthening our presence in the region and working with the team to support our large-scale growth goals at such a key moment in time for the company.”

The Globalization Partners leadership called De Vries's experience in and knowledge of the region a significant asset.
