LinkedIn Chief People Officer steps down

The senior executive in charge of human resources at LinkedIn has resigned after breaking compliance rules, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Christina Hall left the company because of an internal compliance issue, the report adds. LinkedIn chief executive officer Jeff Weiner announced the move to staff on Tuesday.

"Nina McQueen will lead our global talent organization on an interim basis while we conduct an internal and external search for a replacement," said Ngaire Moyes, spokeswoman for LinkedIn, in an emailed statement, declining to comment further.

Hall led LinkedIn's teams responsible for hiring, developing, and rewarding top talent, including all benefits and employee experience programs.

She joined the company in 2013 to lead global compensation and HR M&A. Prior to joining LinkedIn, Christina led the compensation team at Facebook during the company’s 2012 IPO. Before Facebook Christina spent six years at Intuit, where she held several senior positions in legal and HR, culminating in leading the total rewards organization. She is also an attorney who began her career practicing law in the areas of executive compensation and employee benefits, most recently at Latham & Watkins. Christina earned her BA in History and Political Science from Stanford University and received her JD from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
