Publicis Groupe Malaysia names ex-Leo Burnett exec as Chief Talent Officer
Publicis Groupe Malaysia has appointed Maureen Gomez as its chief talent officer. Gomez will build and grow the talent and culture within the agency and oversee the Groupe’s entire HR function. She will also play an important role in ensuring synergy across the Groupe, working closely with business leads within the Groupe’s agencies.
Gomez will report to CEO Tan Kien Eng and focus on identifying and recruiting top talents, employee development, and performance management, as well as placing active measure for employee retention.
CEO Tan Kien stated on her appointment, “Gomez’s experience and expertise will not only help us build a right talent mix, but also help build a unique Power of One culture that allows us to share knowledge, ideas and best practices in an integrated environment.”
Tan added that Gomez was part of the leadership team for Publicis One back in 2016 and he is pleased to welcome her back as part of the Groupe’s core leadership team.
Prior to her new position, Gomez headed people and culture for Base Digital Agency. Before that, she was chief talent officer at Publicis One and spent over three years as the head of people and culture at Leo Burnett. Gomez comes with over 12 years of experience in recruitment and HR and has worked in various industries, including engineering and manufacturing.
On her appointment, Gomez stated, “I am a strong believer of the Groupe’s country-led solution business model of a connected company platform and will be actively contributing in our transformation journey to complement this by building an organizational culture through values and shared goals. We have a great team and I am excited to be working with the best and most cohesive teams in the industry.”
