Global Energy Management and Automation Company Schneider Electric (SE) appointed Manish Pant as Zone President for East Asia and Japan (EAJ).  He is responsible for the company’s commercial operations across 14 markets including South-East Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and Mongolia, driving business performance and transformation.

In the past seven years, as the Executive Vice President for the Home and Distribution Division, Pant focused on introducing sustainable energy management innovations to residential and small businesses markets. He was also responsible for running the E-commerce channel of the company. 

Based out of Singapore, with this new role, Pant will continue to oversee Schneider Electric’s drive to promote smart energy management solutions to help the region’s homes, enterprises and organisations operate more sustainably and contribute to the country’s climate goals. He will also spearhead efforts in championing the company’s role in building a new energy landscape. The transition from carbon-intensive energy sources is of prime significance in these efforts. 

Delighted at his appointment, Pant has expressed immense faith in Asia’s potential to embrace smart technology and digitally-enabled energy systems that are pivotal to enabling a net-zero future.

Prior to this, he has supervised operations in China, Thailand, and India for the company. This position was previously held by Tommy Leong who has now been promoted as Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, International Operations.

With more than 30 years of experience in electrical distribution and management roles and 23 of those being with SE, Pant has had an illustrious career so far, spanning companies like Larsen & Toubro Ltd India and Luminous (a subsidiary of Schneider Electric in India).
