Snowflake appoints Sanjay Deshmukh as Senior Regional Vice President for ASEAN and India

Data cloud company Snowflake has appointed Sanjay Deshmukh as Senior Regional Vice President for ASEAN and India. In this role, Sanjay has been tasked to drive customer success, strengthen partnerships, and consistently increase brand equity. 

His responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans to advance      Snowflake's leadership across the region as well as to enable partner success through building a robust partner ecosystem.

Given Sanjay’s strong track record, proven leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of the industry, he is well-positioned to manage all business operations across the region, and support clients’ and partners’ success. 

On his appointment, Sanjay said, “Delighted to be a part of an innovative and fast-growing organisation that displays extraordinary avenues for growth, I look forward to enabling companies across all regions - including leading-edge markets like ASEAN and India - to actively aggregate data across the cloud to derive analytical and predictive insights.”

Prior to joining Snowflake, he has held several leadership roles. He was formerly Vice President at VMware, where he was responsible for business growth in Southeast Asia and Korea for more than seven years. Prior to that, Sanjay took on the Area Vice President role at Citrix Systems India. He also served as Vice President for Business User and Platform Group and Country Manager for BusinessObjects at SAP, where he was instrumental in pioneering business intelligence and analytics in the Indian subcontinent.
