In seed funding led by Forge Ventures, Entrepreneur First, and Epic Angels Network, edtech startup Jackett raised $1 million. The company is likely to use the raised funds to upgrade its operating system and expand its presence in the market.

Co-founder of Jackett, Charlotte Trugdill, believes the funding will enable his organisation to continue building next-generation tools for teachers, further helping them in doing what they love.

Founded in 2021, Jackett provides an AI- and machine learning-enabled operating system to teachers. The start-up does this by automating time-consuming tasks such as creating, grading, and personalising assessments.

Reportedly, teachers have used Jackett’s services in India to create over 50,000 assessment questions for students which assisted them to save an estimated 7,000 hours.

Angel investors, including Carousell co-founder Siu Rui Quek and OnLoop’s Projjal Ghatak, were also part of the seed funding.
