Neufast gets seed funding from Her Capital
Hong Kong-based startup Neufast, which provides an AI-based video interview platform for hiring, announced last week that it has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Singapore-headquartered venture capital firm Her Capital.
Neufast was founded in 2019 by software engineers Agnes Wun and Dennis Lee, and backed by a number of startup incubators and investors including SOSV Chinaccelerator, AsiaPay Capital, and Artesian Venture Partners. Its platform uses AI to conduct automated interviews that are recorded and analyzed for facial, vocal, and textual information. Recruiters or hiring managers can opt for the AI to generate an assessment of the candidate's competencies based on the interview content.
According to the announcement, the startup plans to use the funding to develop its platform into more products and services, and expand its business into the Greater China and Southeast Asia markets.
Her Capital, founded in 2020 by investors Tanya Rolfe and Gail Wong, is a US$10 million seed fund that invests specifically in businesses founded and led by women in Southeast Asia. Its objective is to tap into overlooked female founders across the region, according to a 2020 interview given by Rolfe.
