Global SaaS recruitment firm Radancy has announced its acquisition of Firstbird, a leading digital employee referral tool. Founded in 2013 and based in Vienna, Austria, Firstbird boasts major enterprise clients including McDonalds, Arvato Bertelsmann and Deloitte. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but it is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022 subject to regulatory approvals.

Post-acquisition, Firstbird will continue to operate intact as Firstbird, a Radancy Company. Its team and leadership will remain unchanged, including current Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Arnim Wahls.

Michelle Abbey, President and CEO of Radancy, said the acquisition was made on the basis of the two companies being a good fit and providing mutual expansion opportunities. "From the first meeting I knew Firstbird checked every box for us. The people, the technology and the opportunity to expand Radancy's reach within the DACH market made this a perfect match," she said.

Radancy was formerly known as TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications. It rebranded on January 26 last year - exactly a year ago - to focus on employment and recruitment services. Firstbird is its first acquisition since the rebranding.
