The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, better known as MetLife, names Susan Podlogar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer and Executive Vice President.
Metlife introduce Susan Podlogar as its new CHRO

Metlife Inc. announced that it has named Susan Podlogar as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer and she will take charge from July 10. She will be a member of the company’s Executive Group and will report to Chairman, President, and CEO Steven A. Kandarian.

Kandarian was quoted in media saying, “As a financial services company, our most valuable resource is our people. With her extensive experience in building world-class teams, Susan will ensure that MetLife has the talent we need to execute on our ambitious enterprise strategy.”

Susan is currently working as Vice-President Human Resources at Johnson & Johnson. In this role, she was responsible for driving the talent agenda to strengthen the company’s go-to-market model and help accelerate the pace of innovation. Previously, she was Vice President for Global Total Rewards and Performance, responsible for managing the development and execution of worldwide compensation, benefits, health resources, performance strategies and organizational analytics.

She has diverse experience in Human Resources business partnering roles in varying business lifecycles and business segments like Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, and Corporate Human Resources. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Susan has worked with Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Bristol-Myers Squibb. She began her career in 1987 as a consultant with Mercer, a global human resources consulting firm. She completed her MBA in Finance and Management from the University of South Florida.
