Reckitt Benckiser names Gurveen Singh to head Human Resources

British based consumer based multinational corporation, Reckitt Benckiser has selected Gurveen Singh as Global Head of Human Resources. The selection came amid exit of four top company executives. According to company’s official statement, the departures were all voluntary, and the timing represents a confluence of events. 

According to a media report, the four executives include Darrell Steins, Heads of Information Technology, Frederic Larmuseau, Developing Markets Head, Roberto Funari, Category Development Head and Deborah Yates, Head of Human Resources. Gurveen Singh will succeed Deborah Yates.

Singh who is currently leading HR for developing markets based in Dubai has been in her current role for close to three years, before which she was regional human resources head for South Asia. She is an alumna of Lady Sriram College, Delhi University and completed her post-graduation from XLRI.

Recently, many companies have appointed Indian-original professionals to lead a role in HR. In addition to Gurveen Singh’s appointment in RB, the other Indian executives in global leadership roles within HR include Tanuj Kapilashrami, Global Head of Talent at Standard Chartered Bank, and Leena Nair, Senior Vice President for leadership and organization development at Unilever.
