Siemens Gamesa appoints Tim Dawidowsky as new Chief Operating Officer

Dawidowsky has been in association with the Siemens family for the last 28 years in various functional and leadership roles.
Siemens Gamesa appoints Tim Dawidowsky as new Chief Operating Officer

Siemens Gamesa has announced the appointment of Tim Dawidowsky as the Chief Operating Officer of the company. He joins the company today i.e May 5 from Siemens Energy where he was serving as Senior Vice President, Project Excellence. 

Dawidowsky has been a member of the Board of Directors of Siemens Gamesa since 2020 and post this new role, would be stepping down from the board.

Jochen Eickholt, CEO, Siemens Gamesa, said,“Tim has the ideal blend of skills and experience for this role in Siemens Gamesa right now. He has a proven track record of effecting successful turnarounds in businesses operating in complex circumstances like those we are facing.” 

He also added that Dawidowsky’s expertise in supply chain management, procurement and project management will be very important for them given the huge challenges they face in that area right now. He appreciated and notes that it is a critical chief executive appointment for Siemens Gamesa.

Dawidowsky has been part of Siemens group for almost three decades now, across a wide range of engineering and manufacturing sectors. He first joined Siemens AG in 1993 and since then,  has worked across many industrial sectors including Oil and Gas, Marine, Steel, Mining, Pulp & Paper, Traffic Systems, Power Generation and Transmission.

His Siemens’ career has covered postings in multiple German, Austrian and Chinese cities and he has held functional as well as CEO positions in service, supply chain management and manufacturing in many different countries.

During the past two years at Siemens Energy, Dawidowsky has been responsible for establishing project management practices ensuring excellence in project execution. In his new role as COO, He would be undertaking similar programs at Siemens Gamesa too.

Dawidowsky graduated from the Technical University of Berlin with an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Business. He will be based in Madrid, Spain.
