Yellow.ai names Neeru Mehta as Chief Human Resource Officer
Experience (TX) automation platform Yellow.ai has announced the appointment of Neeru Mehta as its first Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).
Raghu Ravinutala, CEO and Co-founder, Yellow.ai, said, “We’re delighted to have Neeru on-board as our first ever CHRO. As we scale rapidly across markets, our key priority is to build a future ready organization that can navigate the opportunities and challenges of the conversational AI landscape. “
He also added that with Neeru at the helm of the company’s people strategy, they are confident that she will continue to drive aspiration for Yellow.ai in the market and build a diverse, empowered & engaged workforce with the right capabilities and skill sets.
The announcement news comes at a time when the company plans to expand globally. Last year in August, the AI startup raised $78.15 Mn in Series C funding and kick-started hiring talent across multiple verticals for the said expansion.
As the new CHRO, Neeru is responsible for strengthening the employer branding strategy and people culture at Yellow.ai, especially for new regions, with a clear goal of replicating its people first culture across the new markets that the company is expanding into, including Southeast Asia, the US, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Neeru Mehta brings her more than two decade years of experience across diverse roles including human resources, consulting, project management and philanthropy. Previously, she was the Senior Vice President- Global Head - Organisation Effectiveness for Global Logic where also led the CSR initiatives. Neeru has also worked in senior leadership roles at HCL Technologies and Birlasoft.

With a workforce of 700, Yellow.ai is set to cross the milestone of 1000 employees globally by 2022. With Neeru’s appointment, it would be interesting to see what unchartered path the company takes forward while hiring talent.
