Cybersecurity vendor Trellix has named ex-Amazon Web Service head Sam Henderson as the new Managing Director of the Channels and Alliances business for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) market. He will be based out of Singapore and oversee operations ranging from Bengaluru, India to Tokyo, Japan.
In his new role as MD, Henderson would headline and oversee the execution of the company’s new partner program “Trellix Xtend” in the APJ region. The program is planned to be released in early 2023.
The program is the latest rollout from the cybersecurity vendor, formed in 2021 by merging popular PC security vendor McAfee Enterprise and FireEye XDR.
Britt Norwood, SVP, Global Channels & Commercial, Trellix said, "Our unified partner program, Xtend, continues to reinforce our priority as a channel-first business. We co-developed the Xtend program with our partners to create the right business model for deploying Trellix XDR. Partners can count on Trellix to help drive profitability for our partners and reward partner value.”
Henderson boasts a bludgeoning portfolio with over ten years of experience in IT services and Software Development sectors. He honed his partnerships and business development expertise with Microsoft’s Azure and SAP as Sales Director and Head of Cloud technology and partnership, respectively.

“A new and exciting challenge lies ahead for me with Trellix. The company’s commitment to empowering enterprises, commercial businesses and governments to adopt living security is commendable. Looking ahead to the new year and the implementation of Xtend, partners can rely on Trellix to deliver stronger customer outcomes ensuring they’re put first. I’m proud to join Trellix and support its customers to address cybersecurity protection, one of the biggest challenges organisations face today. As a people leader, I feel equipped to empower the team with a relentless commitment to further fuelling Trellix’s position as the leader in XDR,” said Henderson, MD APJ, Trellix.
