DBS Bank Hong Kong appoints Betty Lam as Managing Director and Head HR

DBS Bank has announced the appointment of Betty Lam as Managing Director and Head of Human Resources of their Hong Kong branch. In her new role, Betty will be kick-starting the development of the strategic people agenda and creating an inclusive and rewarding workplace for a more future-ready, innovative and agile workforce for the bank. She would be reporting to CEO Sebastien Paredes. 

"I am delighted to welcome Betty to the Bank. With a career in HR that spans more than two decades, she brings invaluable insight and solid experience in leading our employees as we continue to embrace the future of work, workforce and workplace," said Paredes.

Betty is a veteran HR leader with close to thirty years of experience. Prior to DBS, she was the Regional Head of Human Resources, Retail Banking & Wealth Management APAC at HSBC from 2014 to 2015 and then Head of Human Resources, in Hong Kong from 2015 to 2022.

She started her journey with Bank of America and counts AIG, PepsiCo, AIA, Citi and ABN Amro as her previous employers. Betty's skillset is specialising in creating people strategies and geminating talent & employment programmes.  

Betty will also join as a member of the DBS Hong Kong Management Committee and will be based in Hong Kong.
