Genting Singapore promotes Tan Hee Teck to CEO
The integrated resort operator Genting Singapore said on Sunday that Tan Hee Teck, its president and chief operating officer (COO), has been named the company's chief executive officer (CEO) with immediate effect. Tan will leave his posts as president and COO, which he has held since 2010, upon the new appointment.
"The CEO is responsible for executing the board's approved strategies, managing and developing Genting Singapore's business, and providing leadership to the management team of the group to ensure effective day-to-day operational performance and organisational excellence," the company said.
Tan has been with the company since 2004, and since 2007, he has been the CEO of its wholly-owned subsidiary Resorts World at Sentosa (RWS).
He is also a board member, as well as the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and a member of Staff Committee, of the Central Provident Fund Board of Singapore.
He is a member of the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence - Main Council and Employer & Business Council and a board member and Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Hotel Association.
Prior to re-joining the Genting Group in 2004, Tan was the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of DBS Vickers Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of DBS Group Holdings Ltd.
