InterVision has roped in ex McDonald’s executive for a key role
InterVision, an IT strategic service provider, has appointed Ray Panahon as Head of Technology for Media and Entertainment. Panahon has worked with companies like Earthlink, ReelzChannel, McDonalds, and Al Jazeera America.
InterVision provides IT services to media and entertainment companies. These services include storage, networking, computing and cloud services. It has so far worked with media brands like National Geographic, Bunim Murray Productions and KVIE.
As digital transformation creates more opportunities for the media industry and the companies in the sector seek to understand the technologies, the demand for the services a company like InterVision provides amplifies.
Tom Holt, Area Vice President, Sales shares, “Ray’s experience will be instrumental in helping our media and entertainment clients reimagine the future, while keeping their unique business challenges at the forefront of our ongoing strategic development.”
Panahon has over 20 years of experience. Over the years, he has advanced technical and business acumen in various industry verticals. In her new role in InterVision, Ray will oversee the company’s continued expansion into the media and entertainment space.
Deloitte’s 2019 Media & Entertainment Industry Outlook report indicated a time of exciting change as new trends and technologies drive innovation, disruption, and opportunities for growth in media and entertainment. From a technology standpoint, 2019 appeared to be the year that “voice” will truly come to the fore. Adoption and usage of voice-enabled digital assistants is growing, indicating that voice could be the next big thing—after touch—in human-computer interaction.
Considering the level of transformation media and entertainment industry and the companies are expecting to drive, an IT service provider like InterVision has to work on upgrading its solutions up to the expectations of its current and potential clients. Ray’s role will hence be critical for InterVision’s growth, especially for the media & entertainment vertical.
