VP Bank appoints Pamela Phua as the head of Singapore branch

Pamela Phua has been appointed as the Head of the Singapore Branch at VP Bank, to ensure a smooth leadership transition in the Asian Market.

As part of the completed Strategy 2026 initiative, VP Bank has overhauled its organisational structure in Asia to drive sustainable growth across its target markets and key business sectors, effective from 1 July 2024.

Pamela Phua, who serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Asia, has also taken on the role of Head of the Singapore Branch. This strategic move was made to ensure a smooth transition of leadership after Johnny Heng left to pursue other opportunities.

Additionally, Michel Hofstetter has taken up the position of Head of Intermediaries Singapore. Having joined VP Bank in 2022 and currently the Team Head of Intermediaries, Hofstetter brings more than two decades of experience in working with intermediaries. Reporting directly to Pamela Phua, he focuses on enhancing the bank's market share and intermediaries division, highlighting VP Bank’s commitment to strengthening its core business areas and improving service delivery to financial intermediaries.
