Telecom giant Nokia has announced the appointment of Amy Hanlon-Rodemich as the new Chief People Officer of the Finland-based company. Hanlon-Rodemich would also be joining esteemed names like Pekka Lundmark, Nishant Batra and Melissa Schoeb as the newest member of the company's Group Leadership Team.

She has extensive experience working with technology companies - including in fields critical to Nokia’s strategy such as software and cloud - to transform their talent attraction and retention programmes. This will be invaluable to Nokia as we continue to grow and recruit. ," said Pekka Lundmark, President and CEO of Nokia, to whom Hanlon-Rodemich would be reporting too.

In her new role, Hanlon-Rodemich will be tasked to transform Nokia's HR function to deliver unique, personalised experiences to employees. Her appointment would be effective from October 24th 2022.

As Chief People Officer of GlobalLogic, Amy Hanlon-Rodemich led their HR function which complemented the company's digital product engineering growth. An industry leader, she has helped some of Silicon Valley's top brands to scale and grow, for example, Yahoo and VMware. She also counts Synopsys and Milestone Technology as her previous employers where she was VP- Human Resources and EVP - People, respectively.

"Additionally, Amy brings a depth of experience in using technology to transform HR functions to deliver unique, personalised experiences to employees. Her skills in this area will support and complement our business strategy as we move to accelerate and scale our growth and continue the digitisation of our company,” added Pekka Lundmark.

She also added that Nokia is also currently digitising many of its activities and her team will join this effort in using digitisation to create unique and creative experiences for the company's existing and new talent across all demographics. 

Hanlon-Rodemich will be based in North America and split her time between her base and the headquarters i.e Finland.
