Teo Lay Lim joins Accenture as Chairperson for Singapore

In her new role, Teo Lay Lim will focus on strategy and policy issues which are top of mind for private and public sector companies. Accenture has made two more leadership appointments as it increases its focus on business in Southeast Asia.
Teo Lay Lim joins Accenture as Chairperson for Singapore

Accenture announced appointments of several senior executives as the company strengthens its presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia. Effective from 1 September 2020, Teo Lay Lim, Ng Wee Wei, and Divyesh Vithlani will all join the team of Accenture in Singapore. 

Lay Lim has been named chairperson for Accenture in Singapore. This newly created role is a clear recognition of the importance of Singapore to the global Accenture organisation. In her new role, Lay Lim will focus on strategy and policy issues which are top of mind for private and public sector companies. She will continue to serve in various institutional roles and steward the development of Accenture's next generation of leaders in Singapore.

Further Wee Wei has been named country managing director for Accenture in Singapore, succeeding Lay Lim. Wee Wei will have primary responsibility for Accenture’s business in Singapore, including advancing strategic initiatives and ensuring the company’s growth in this important market. She will continue to serve as Accenture’s Public Service industry lead for Growth Markets and Citizen Services lead for Asia, Africa and Middle East. Wee Wei most recently led Accenture’s Health and Public Services group for Southeast Asia in the last six years. 

Succeeding Lay Lim, Divyesh Vithlani joins as market unit lead for Accenture in Southeast Asia. In his new role, Divyesh will be responsible for the company’s growth in this fast-growing region as well as working with clients to solve their business challenges. Divyesh has over 25 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Markets across Europe and Asia Pacific, and most recently led Accenture’s Financial Services group across Southeast Asia.

Welcoming the executives in their new leadership roles, Gianfranco Casati, CEO of Accenture’s Growth Markets, said “Southeast Asia is a key growth market for Accenture with immense growth potential. Lay Lim, Divyesh and Wee Wei are very capable leaders, and I have no doubt that they will continue to power Accenture’s impact in the region." 

With these new roles Accenture hopes to enhance its capabilities and create value for its clients and employees to capitalize on the opportunities of the future.
