Veremark names Guy Underwood as new chair
Background checking startup Veremark has announced the appointment of risk professional Guy Underwood as new Chairman.
Underwood, who is based in Melbourne, Australia, has over 25 years' experience in risk, compliance, and financial crime investigation. He is actively involved in the risk management startup scene, having served as board advisor to due diligence startup Vital4 and previously founded his own employment screening firm, RISQ Group, now a major regional player. He has served on a number of audit and risk committees and was formerly a member of the advisory council of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
He is presently Chief Risk Officer at Scalare Partners, and before that was Head of AML and Financial Crimes at the Bank of Queensland.
