AB InBev Global Capability Center elevates Sanjeev Ravindranathan to Global Director - GCC Operations
Anheuser Busch InBev Global Capability Center has announced the elevation of Sanjeev Ravindranathan to the position of Global Director – GCC Operations.
In his new role, Sanjeev will be responsible for leading the overall business operations of AB InBev GCC, while using his deep expertise in digital transformation to optimize financial operations and commercial performance.
He will be succeeding Serge De Vos, who was in the role for 15 years. The veteran business leader would now be taking over as Managing Director, Digital Business Solutions.
“Sanjeev has demonstrated his impeccable leadership capabilities in AB InBev GCC during his journey over the last 4 years. He has led large teams within the Center delivering excellent business results while increasing employee engagement, and introduced AI/ML in operations. I am proud to have him as my successor and confident that he will take AB InBev GCC to newer heights,” said Serge DeVos on Sanjeev’s appointment.
Sanjeev had joined AB InBev GCC in March 2018 with the primary responsibility of transforming the Payment-on-Time operations in Europe.
In April 2019, Sanjeev was promoted to the position of Director, leading Procure-To-Pay and Reporting command center operations. Thereafter in April 2020, he was tasked with leading the Digital Solutions of the organization. He has been instrumental in optimizing the company’s PMI Operations, Digital Solutions, Hyper Automation, and building up the capabilities of transformative tools like Celonis and Anaplan.
Speaking about the transition, Sanjeev Ravindranathan, Global Director, Operations, AB InBev GCC, said that under the leadership of Serge in the last 4 years, the company have seen GCC evolve from a transactional focused unit to a center that’s delivering significant value using analytics, domain expertise and tech-enabled transformation.
“As the organization enters the peak of the digital disruption my focus will be to make GCC a powerhouse of talent that leads the organization’s Business Transformation from the front. As we exit into a ‘Post-Pandemic Normal,’ a key priority for me will be to enable an Operating Model that’s progressive and strikes the right balance between flexibility and organization priorities,” he added.
