BayWa r.e Malaysia elevates Niranpal Singh as Managing Director

Post his promotion, Niranpal would be reporting to APAC Director Daniel Gaefke while still maintaining his current portfolio as General Manager.
BayWa r.e Malaysia elevates Niranpal Singh as Managing Director

Global renewable energy giants BayWa r.e. has announced the promotion of Niranpal Singh as Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Malaysia. As per the company statement, he will be leading developments in BayWa r.e. business units, namely energy solutions, solar project development and solar equipment trade for Malaysia.

Niranpal will be reporting directly to Daniel Gaefke, APAC Director, BayWa r.e. 

“Southeast Asia presents a huge opportunity of US$30 billion in the next few years according to Southeast Asia’s Green Economy 2022 Report: Investing behind new realities by Bain and Temasek, with contributions from Microsoft. With Niranpal’s expertise in the energy solutions, photovoltaic and renewables sector, it will further refine  our offerings in Malaysia, providing our customers with tailored renewable solutions to meet their carbon reduction needs”, said Daniel Gaefke. 

He also added that Niranpal has proven his capabilities serving as the General Manager of the APAC Energy Solutions team and they are confident that he will take the Malaysia business to greater heights.

Niranpal boasts of leadership experience of more than fifteen years. He joined the BayWa r.e. in 2019 as the General Manager for Energy Solutions, Malaysia. He counts SABIC, Helios and Base Solar as his previous employers. 

Along with his new role, Niranpal will maintain his current portfolio as the General Manager of BayWa r.e. Energy Solutions for the Asia Pacific and continue to drive the business growth in the APAC markets.

“I am beyond excited to take on the responsibility to head BayWa r.e. 's office in Malaysia. The past two years as the General Manager for the Energy Solutions business unit have opened my eyes to many talented individuals locally and regionally. I look forward to achieving more milestones with the team as we do our part in helping Malaysia move towards a transition towards cleaner energy and a more sustainable future,” Niranpal commented on his appointment.
