Infosys looking for top talent to close larger deals
Infosys is poised to expand its large deals team in an attempt to negotiate deals worth over $100 million. Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has said the company needs to add talent to its large deal teams, from advisors to architects, in an attempt to help the company compete in the market.
Infosys has previously appointed Padmanabha Olety and Steve Zucker as Vice Presidents in its strategic pursuit's team. Olety was a strategic deals leader at IBM and Zucker was working as the sales director at CSC. Additionally, the company also hired David Wilson, former Vice president of IBM’s Business Partner Ecosystem, as Senior Vice President and Head of Infosys Partner Ecosystem.
According to reports, the company is prominently hiring in the United States but is also looking for talent across markets. Infosys has hired headhunters to look out for talent in America and Europe.
Recently, IT companies such as Tata Consultancy Services and even Wipro have begun winning deals worth over $1billion. In the last year, TCS has announced three deals over $1 billion, and Wipro announced an over $1billion deal with Alight. Infosys, however, has not disclosed a deal worth over $1 billion in several years.
